The Central University for Nationalities is a national key comprehensive university. In its subsequent development, it has successively entered the ranks of national key construction universities in the "211 Project", "985 Project" and "First-class University, First-Class Discipline". The school is located in the Haidian District, which is lined with academic institutions in Beijing, adjacent to the National Library in the south, and Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park in the north. The campus is elegant, simple and beautiful, with a rich cultural atmosphere and distinctive ethnic characteristics.
The Central University for Nationalities has a full range of disciplines, mainly in the humanities and social sciences, featuring ethnic disciplines, including liberal arts, science, engineering, medicine, management, education, economics, law, art, sports and other disciplines. There are 24 colleges in the Central University for Nationalities, with 64 undergraduate majors, 99 master's majors and 39 doctoral majors covering 10 disciplines. Among them, the subject of ethnology has successfully entered the national "double first-class" construction discipline list. All majors of the school can enroll international students. The school has a total of 1,893 teaching staff, including 1,196 full-time teachers, including 678 professors and associate professors, accounting for 57% of the total number of full-time teachers. The school has established exchange and cooperation relations with more than 150 universities and scientific research institutions in 35 countries and regions. Every year, a group of well-known scholars who have important influence in related subject fields visit the school to give lectures and exchanges.
The multinational culture of the Central University for Nationalities coexists in harmony. The school not only has a high-quality, high-level, and ethnically diverse faculty, but among the 16,858 full-time students, the students from 55 ethnic minorities remain at more than 50%. The school forms the epitome of the big family of the Chinese nation. It is the only university in China that includes teachers and students from all 56 ethnic groups in China. Multiculturalism coexists harmoniously here.
The Central University for Nationalities is one of the first eight universities in China to accept international students and carry out teaching and research of Chinese as a foreign language. It is also a receiving school for international students of the "Chinese Government Scholarship" and Hanban "Confucius Institute" scholarships. More than 600 international students from the country are studying at the school. The School of International Education is an organization dedicated to the enrollment, management and service of international students in the school. It also undertakes Chinese language training for international students, undergraduate Chinese international education (international students), master of Chinese international education (Chinese students and international students) and Chinese international The teaching task of the doctor of communication. The college has complete hardware facilities and has an excellent faculty. More than 90% of full-time teachers have qualification certificates for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
