Sichuan University is located in Chengdu, a famous historical and cultural city in China - "the land of abundance". It has three campuses, Wangjiang, Huaxi and Jiang'an, covering an area of 7050 Mu and building area of 2515000 square meters. Campus environment is elegant, flowers and trees lush, green grass, pleasant scenery, is an ideal garden for study.
Sichuan University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of education, which is composed of three national key universities, the former Sichuan University, the former Chengdu University of science and technology, and the former West China Medical University. It was established in April 1994 and September 2000 by "strong and strong combination". It is also a key university under the national "211 Project" and "985 Project". The former Sichuan University was founded in 1896 by Sichuan University of Chinese and Western learning; the former Chengdu University of science and technology was developed from Chengdu Institute of technology established in 1954 when the national departments were adjusted; the former West China Medical University was formerly founded in Chengdu by Christian churches of the United States, Britain and Canada in 1910.
In the long-term course of running a school, the school has formed a profound cultural heritage, a solid foundation for running a school and the spirit of Sichuan University with the school motto of "embracing all rivers, containing all rivers", and the school ethos of "rigorous, diligent, realistic and innovative". Sichuan University is a high-level research-oriented comprehensive university in Western China. The university has 31 discipline colleges, Graduate School, overseas education college and two independent colleges, Jincheng and Jinjiang. The disciplines cover 12 categories, including literature, science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, law, history, philosophy, agriculture, education and art. There are 46 national key disciplines, 66 provincial and ministerial key disciplines, 44 first-class disciplines authorized for doctoral degree, 349 doctoral programs, 443 There are three master's programs, 32 professional degree programs, 133 undergraduate programs, 37 post doctoral research stations, six national talent training and scientific research and curriculum teaching bases, and one national college students' cultural quality education base.
Centering on the goal of creating a first-class research-oriented comprehensive university, the university has established a new concept of running a modern university that is "people-oriented, academic oriented, and outstanding". It has put forward a new goal of talent cultivation that is "national pillars and social elites with profound humanistic background, solid professional knowledge, strong sense of innovation, and broad international vision". At present, the university has more than 38000 full-time ordinary undergraduates, more than 22000 master's and doctoral students, and more than 2700 foreign students.
Sichuan University has established exchange and cooperation relations with more than 216 overseas well-known universities, educational institutions and foundations in 45 countries and regions, and has successively jointly established international high-level programs such as "Institute of strategic planning of China US university", "International Research Center for sustainable development of ecological environment in Jiuzhaigou", "Sino German Energy Research Center", "international cooperation center against poverty in Western China", etc Research cooperation platform: Sichuan University is one of the 10 universities in the "10 + 10" alliance between China and the University of California, the United States. It has achieved "2 + 2", "3 + 1" and "2 + 1 + 1" joint education with world-famous universities such as Washington University, University of Nottingham, and Monash University of Australia. Together with Hong Kong Polytechnic University, it has established Sichuan University Hong Kong Polytechnic University post disaster reconstruction and The school of management, together with the University of Pittsburgh, has established the Sichuan University Pittsburgh college. 1 Application Prerequisites
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, with valid passport, above the age of 18 and below 60, and should abide by Chinese law and the regulations of Sichuan University. They should also respect Chinese social customs and codes of conduct.
