    Shanghai Government Scholarship of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law


    Scholarship Content and Standards


    1. Scholarship Content:


    (a)        Full Scholarship: covering fees of tuition, expenses of accommodation, insurance expenses and providing living expenses;


    (b)        Partial Scholarship: covering fees of tuition and insurance expenses.


    2. Living Expenses Standards:


    UNDERGRADUATE: 2,500 RMB/month      


    MASTERS and GENERAL VISITING STUDENTS:3,000 RMB/month

    Bachelor Degree Majors:1.Science of Law (International Economic Law); 2.Intellectual Property; 3.International Economy and Trade; 4.Economics; 5.Economics and Finance; 6.Business Administration; 7.Sociology; 8.Journalism; 9.International Politics; 10.Administrative Management; 11.Politics and Administration; 12.Applied Psychology; 13.Chinese Language & Literature (International Chinese Education); 14.Broadcast and Television Director (TV Documentary); 15.Broadcast and Television Director (Photography and Camera Shooting);


    Mater Degree Majors: 1.Law Theory; 2.Constitutional Law and Administrative Law; 3.Criminal Law; 4.Civil and Commercial Law; 5.Procedural Law; 6.Economic Law; 7.Environmental and Resources Protection Law; 8.International Law; 9.International Politics and International Relations.


    Applicant Eligibility Requirements


    1. UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANTS: Non-Chinese aged from 18 to 30 years old with a High School Certificate or above.


    2. MASTERS APPLICANTS: Non-Chinese aged from 18 to 45 years old with a Bachelor’s degree or above.


    Date of Application


    Application is open from February10th to June 30th every year.


    Application Process and Approach:


    1.         Apply and submit relevant materials on the website of Study in Shanghai (http://www.study-shanghai.org/).


    2.         Please complete all sections on the Application Form and email it with other required materials as an attachment to shupliso@126.com and send the completed paper version of Application materials to Department of Admission and Program Development, School of International Communication and Exchange (International Students Office), Shanghai University of Political Science and Law.


    3.         School of International Communication and Exchange (International Students Office) will process all applications and will mail the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) to the admitted students after confirmation with applicants by email or phone call.


    4.         Please take the Admission Notice, JW202, Health Examination Certificates and other related materials to apply for Student Visa (X Visa) at the Chinese Embassy in your country, and finish the registration on time.


     


    Required Application Documents:


    1.       A completed International Students Admission Application Form to Study at SHUPL.


    2.       The highest education certificate. If the applicants are students, they shall provide the certificate(s) from their High School/University. Certificates which are not in Chinese or English must be translated into either Chinese or English and notarized accordingly before submission.


    3.       Official transcript of your highest education. Transcripts which are not in Chinese or English must be translated into either Chinese or English.


    4.       Health Examination Certificate.


    5.       Students who want to apply for master degree shall provide a study or research plan in China. The study or research plan in China should not be less than 1000 words, either in Chinese or English.


    6.       One photocopy of HSK4 or above Certificate.


    7.       One photocopy of your passport personal information page.


    8.       Eight passport size photos.


    9.       Applicants for Master Degree need to provide two recommendation letters by associate professors or professors, either in Chinese or in English.


    10.   International students who have studied in China shall provide copies of studying certificate, leaving school certificate and temporary residence permit.
